Here’s the fellow with the famous “long nose”, which he pokes into everybody’s business even when it’s none of his business, It’s that jolly, Italian puppet PINOCCHIO. Everyone knows his trademark, world renowned conical hat. Created by the Italian writer Carlo Collodi, he is the Italian counterpart to the German “Kasperle” (Punch & Judy). His tales tell of Pinocchio’s many adventures. Reprints of the old Pinocchio book continued in great numbers right up until the story was filmed in 1937. 

And as you can see, Pinocchio is still alive today!
