No 783 Steinbach Smoker Tournament Rider

“The finest time of all, of course!  is riding on a show-time horse!” That’s an older rider’s saying. And it still has some significance today.  When the heavy “Belgian” horses (a breed bred for heavy hauling) are lead out of the front of the barn, the riding horses enter in the back. Little boys and girls on the farm love to practice “vaulting” which is an exercise done on a running horse but usually done in riding halls.

Of course, this also requires a bit of money for the cap, bridle and saddle. Our “Raucherman” has a piggy-bank underneath the horse’s belly with a lock. Now what do you suppose, do you need to save for?
